I put the dragon’s bathtub on the table for a moment and turned my back. When I turned back around, I found Fellini trying it out.
Starting to play together is a huge step in becoming a family. The cats forget about posturing and focus on having fun together. Andrei and Anakin enjoyed a bit of play together this evening while Alice watched. They’re doing really well at adjusting.
Anakin has come out of his private room and started exploring his new home. Welcome, beautiful boy!
We drove to Enfield, CT to adopt the fourth member of The Crew today. His name is Anakin. He’s a 4 year old sweetheart. I don’t have a photo of him yet because he’s a bit camera shy but as soon as I do, I’ll post it.
It’s hard to believe Alice and Andrei are litter mates. He’s so much bigger than she is.
Fellini gets very excited when his people get home. Here he is watching my husband come in before running to the stairs to greet him as he comes in. Yes, cats do get excited when their people get home. Even cats who start off feral build relationships with their human family members.
She puts her toys in some weird places.
We had another nor’easter today. The storm dropped quite a bit of snow and brought high winds and brutal cold. It’s good to see these cats enjoying being warm and safe instead of having to find a place to survive storms. They’re completely unaware of how harsh it is out there.
Alice peers out from her cone of shame. It’s been 5 days since it was installed. There’s 5 more to go. She’s plotting vengeance.
Poor baby Alice. She got spayed this morning and now has a lampshade on her head for the next 10 days. She’s the saddest cat in all the land.
